Inside Design

Happy Wedding Wednesday friends! After yesterdays Instagram post it dawned on us that not all of you get to see our behind-the-scenes design. We love illustrating every step of the design process as much as possible for our couples. 99% of the time what we are doing has never been done before and we have to start from scratch. Since we don’t pull inspiration from the typical places we love to sit down and sketch it out to come up with the perfect solution for our production team.

This is an example of a fun centerpiece we created for a pretty fabulous wedding. I began by sketching out the structure for the welder to weld the base and then moved onto the visual aspect of the piece. It’s fun for us to dream up the color palette and then meet with additional creative teams to pull the full design together. This centerpiece was only included on some of the tables so I made sure to include the layout for our bride to see. Of course there were a lot of meetings with our clients and the full creative team, as well as┬árevisions on our end, but I think the final product was something to be talked about.

What do you think of our process? I am so excited to share with y’all what happens in our super fun design meetings that we like to tell you about!

I’m impressed, I must say. Seldom do I come across a blog that’s equally educative and engaging, and let me tell you, you’ve hit the nail on the head. The issue is something too few people are speaking intelligently about. I’m very happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to this.
