Mardi Gras

Hey y’all, it’s Mardi Gras!

What I love most about this fun holiday, is that it originated in my hometown of Mobile, AL. That’s right, before my husband whisked me away to beautiful Oklahoma, I was born and raised in the birthplace of Mardi Gras. In Mobile, there are kings and queens of the Mardi Gras court who host a lot of exciting dinner parties leading up to the parade and formal ball.

Today, I’ve been inspired by those beautiful parties to create a mood board to help you get your home ready for Mardi Gras season! We love branching out to more of the rich vibrants colors besides a beautiful emerald and plum, like a touch of bright teal and gold. Mint juleps and these cute “hurricane” jams are perfect for celebrating. And who can resist a beautiful hostess gown like this Zac Posen?
